Winter Vaccination Programme 2026/27
As winter approaches, Skerne Medical Group is preparing to deliver its annual seasonal vaccination programme. This year, in line with Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) guidelines, we are offering both the seasonal flu vaccine and the updated COVID-19 booster. These vaccines are designed to provide maximum protection against the strains expected to circulate during the colder months.

Who is Eligible?
The NHS offers free winter vaccines to people who are at higher risk of becoming seriously ill from flu or COVID-19. You are eligible for a free vaccination if you:
- Are aged 65 or over
- Have certain long-term health conditions (such as diabetes, asthma, heart disease, or chronic kidney disease)
- Are pregnant
- Are a frontline health or social care worker
- Are a main carer for an elderly or disabled person
How to Book Your Appointment
We are currently contacting eligible patients by text message and letter with direct booking links. If you have received a booking link, please use it to select a convenient date and time at one of our central clinics. Alternatively, you can book by calling the surgery and selecting Option 1. Please ensure you wear a face covering when attending your appointment.
